R404a
R404A is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R502 and R22 in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications. Although it is a popular refrigerant, R404A is under great scrutiny due to its high Global Warming Potential (GWP). This has led to an increased focus on lower GWP alternatives such as R407F and R407A, along with newer alternatives such as R448A and R449A.
R407F
R407F is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R22 and R404A in low and medium temperature applications. With a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) and higher efficiency compared to R404A and R407A, R407F is a great alternative for various commercial refrigeration applications.
R507
R507 is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R502 and R22 in low and medium temperature refrigeration. With a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3985, R507 is under similar scrutiny to R404A.
R22
R22 is a single component refrigerant used traditionally across medium and low temperature refrigeration.
R438a (Freon/Isceon MO99)
R438A (Freon™/Isceon MO99) is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R22 in domestic, industrial and commercial air conditioning systems. It is also a retrofit replacement for R22 in low and medium temperature refrigeration systems and DX chiller systems. The manufacturer of the refrigerant recommends the use of the product in the following applications: Commercial air conditioning, roof top units, indoor packaged units, DX chillers, split systems, Residential Air Conditioning, Refrigeration (low and medium Temperature)
R134a
R134a is a HFC, used in automotive air conditioning and as a replacement for R12 and R22 in medium and high temperature refrigeration applications, such as commercial and domestic refrigeration and chillers.
R410a
R410A is a HFC blend, used mainly in air conditioning systems; it may also be used as an alternative to R13B1 in low temperature refrigeration.
R32
R32 is a HFC refrigerant, used as a replacement for R410A in low temperature refrigeration and air conditioning applications. This refrigerant is a preferred replacement for R410A in new equipment. R32 is not to be used as a retrofit.
